ooh what a nice day.  I like your choice of fixes for easy trainer...I'd like to hear feedback from users on how much exp they think this area should max at.

My mana rgen is the same as my medi tick now. MME says it should be higher. Can another caster confirm?

Are you saying your normal tick dropped, your meditate tick went up, what...

I'm kind of confused myself...from the looks of it the medi tick is what it should be but my normal tick has dropped. That's why I'm looking for confirmation from another caster...

Effectively my normal tick=my medi tick right now, but MME says my normal tick should be higher.

In any case my normal tick is much lower than it was before the update.

I think it should be a high exp area, but considering it's a stock realm content component I don't think it should be 48+ million exp per hour area.

Zero? If you're one of those classes you can just massacre other players until you get low on lives and then hide there until you're ready to level again. In a PVP realm if those classes stuck together they would win every time.

The existence of this monster also further discourages the use of the hard trainer.

I don't think it's the existence of the monster, since it is really available to all classes if you know the trick ;)

I would bet good $ that the 100k exp was a typo on metros part.  The other cloaked figures are only worth 10k each.

Even if it wasn't (though I think you're probably right), it's a dumb idea to have a single room where you can legitimately earn 10x more than anyone else anywhere in the game. Even with the hassles of getting there.

I don't see how you consider this nice.

First of all if such "quick last minute" fixes are possible in that short amount of time why can't the content errors be fixed in a relatively short amount of time or at least started to be worked on.

Second this doesn't do anything except allow for anyone in those 4 classes above level sixty-five to race to hit a macro or event to buy the key at 2am and run back and solo cloaked. I know I can get a bout 25mil/hr and I think headband can make nearly 60mil/hr if he's left alone so. Who is this helping again? Also this really helps people who banked runics. For those that did not they have a cripling disadvantage to scripting there now vs. those that did.

Third why not do something that would actually assist you all in evaluating bug fixes. make the following four fairly simple changes then reset the realm. This will both get people to be at keys more again and with the changes keep them working together at keys more often for a long time:

1) Nerf thunderclap or make it so it works as it should so druids can't easily solo bosses
2) Make all limiteds either x5 or 5 of each thing total [this shouldn't be to hard to set "quickly"]
3) Set the sliding scale boss regen up where the boss can regen at +/- 10-15% of expected regen time so no one can truley time bosses.
4) All for only one character thus forcing people to work together and making limiteds at x5 last forever while keeping people at keys and working together.

Seems good to me. In fact if the issue is all these fixes needed in pvp realm before resetting just make these changes in pve and roll it whatever.

The current game is fairly stagnant.

It's considered nice because it did not require a content change to address the issue.  Making this change required only a very slight modification to the cleanup code.  Changes like that are simple to implement and therefore can be done "last minute".

The only disadvantage this would give is that you are less able to earn insane exp per hour.  You're already 14.1 billion exp ahead of the #3 player in the realm.  I would submit that #3 and below are the ones who had a crippling disadvantage.

We are making changes other than what we did to the training area with more coming tonight.

Nurfing thunderclap is not the answer to the problem.  When we decide on a fix, we'll address it at that point.  We didn't nurf your massive exp, we allowed it to go on until we decided on a reasonable fix for it.

We don't have a large enough player base (IMO) to warrant 5x limiteds.  25 tiger claws for less than 100 users?  The reason we have not modified the # of limiteds is we do not have an editor program for GM datafiles yet, so edits like that would have to be made in the db directly.  We try to avoid that when possible.  Especially if it's only temporary.

It boggles my mind though. If it is so simple why did you all us to script at cloaked for forty+ days and change it now. Rather why not let it ride until after the board resets.

Again at this point me and headband have ridiculous experience and levels what is the point of changing how that functions NOW if it was SO easy to change this whole time?

Oh goody.

Actually nerfing thunderclap is a big issue as it is way to powerful when it comes to boss runs. And yes you did nerf it. For the last forty days the premise has been that we could go to cloaked on a regular basis to script it. You made no indication this would change and while I was bored I was merely continuing it for the novelty. Now at this point you up and change it. I still say why now and not when it started? I didn't save 5000 runics in my bank I don't even have 50 so I guess its over for me. Besides I don't want to waste the time or stay up until 2 am every morning to buy a stupid key. So yes it is essentially nerfed.

If you read my entire statement i said 5x or 5 per each item total. I have relayed the four items with a reroll and most people thought they would be fun settings. Oh well stagnant it is. But I won't be around much. And no its not because of how you changed your mind on cloaked its because I was already getting extremely bored and now that my 5th quest is over on the mystic too the excitement is over until a reset which seems to be less then immenent.

Ok we get it.  You don't like the change.

I did say it would be addressed at some point.  It was addressed.

It wasn't a nurf.  I wanted to reduce the exp to 1k, that would have been a nurf.  Be glad Vitoc wanted to do it another way.

Topic is now locked.

I realize this topic is locked, but I wanted to give at least some explanation for why this is happening *now* as opposed to many weeks ago.

This is my bad.  I've been very busy for the past several weeks with a new job and I haven't had a chance to address the bigger issues.  Honestly, yes, this was a big issue.  Having one or two peeps making 40+ mil an hour while the next best is earning less than 1/10th that is not helpful in keeping most players motivated to stay and/or help continue testing.  I assure you we didn't just implement this "willy nilly", and you would have been much more disappointed with the previous suggestion to address this.  There are differences between MajorMUD and GreaterMUD that cause major issues based on the MajorMUD content.  We're trying to bridge that gap without singling out users or completely nerfing unique ways to do things like gain more exp than the average player.

We're in the beginning stages of implementing a fix that will allow a multiplier on lims configurable per realm.  I'm trying to spend more time on the major issues plaguing our realms.  I know this is frustrating (BELIEVE ME), but please hang in there.

If you feel the urge to respond to this, please IM me and I'll get back to you as soon as I get a chance.
