Back on track

Hey everyone,

In case you hadn't already noticed, we're back in the groove and releasing updates on an almost nightly basis.  We finally finished implementing the new items system.  If we've done everything right, it won't really be something that's really noticable in-game.  Behind the scenes, essentially every single item's state is now being tracked and persisted to the database.  This means every single item could essentially have it's own unique properties that will be stored in the database.  This paves the way for new features like enchanted or enhanced items as well as player-created items w/ special attributes.  With this new system comes the added bonus of being able to track items of specific types (limited items for example) more easily, which should hopefully make Gardner's life (and any game ops in other realms in the future) a little easier.

We're still wrapping up this items system, so if any major bugs are found we may still need to restore to last week's backup, so you might want to hold off any major questing for another couple days.  We will notify everyone when the "all-clear" decision is made.

Thanks again for everyone's patience.  We're hoping to take a break from the tedious work and implement some "fun stuff" in the next couple weeks.  Stay tuned.
